Don’t worry, I made a fancy cabbage soup and it tastes great! These seven-day diets have gained a lot of popularity recently. I decided to give it a try after reading about it for the first time on a blog I happened to. However, I didn’t have high expectations. I’m hooked now!
Day 1:
Consume as much of the diet cabbage soup as you like and only fruit today, excluding bananas. Apples, blueberries, and other fruits with less sugar should be your mainstay. I like to eat a big fruit salad and cabbage soup for lunch, melon salad for supper, and baked cinnamon apples (using gala or honey crisp apples) in the morning. Snack on fruit all day long to satisfy your craving for crunch. Delectable snacks include frozen pineapples and frozen grapes. Additionally, a natural and pleasant slushy can be made by blending frozen watermelon. It wasn’t as horrible as I had anticipated today.
Day 2:
Consume just vegetables, excluding corn and other starchy vegetables. But you get to eat a baked potato (sweet or russet) to start the day. I promise you will adore this roasted potato! I never imagined that eating a baked potato in the morning would make me so happy! Sweet potatoes are my preference.
For breakfast, I cut my sweet potato into cubes, toss it with cinnamon and a little olive oil, then bake it with onions and bell peppers. I have a salad with olive oil, salt, pepper, and cabbage soup for lunch. It’s quite good. I make rice cauliflower with roasted carrots, bell peppers, and zucchini stir-fried on top with a little soy sauce (cheating) for dinner. I eat baked spinach chips as a snack. It went okay today.
Day 3:
You eat both fruits and vegetables today, except corn, bananas, and other starchy vegetables. It’s terrible if you don’t get a potato today as well! For my food, I simply repeat the steps from days one and two.
Day 4:
You just consume milk or yogurt and bananas today. By far, this is the DUMBEST day of the year. I detest it. You can simply have milk or unsweetened yogurt with bananas. No, but let’s try our best! I make a banana smoothie with Greek yogurt, almond milk, and bananas for the morning. For lunch, I have cabbage soup.
I had more cabbage soup and another big banana smoothie for supper. I freeze banana slices and then combine them to make banana ice cream. I also consume some chips made from dried bananas. It’s a boring day, not particularly challenging, and if you detest bananas.
Day 5:
Eat only protein (fish, turkey, and chicken) and tomatoes (6–8) today. Since I enjoy meat and was glad to receive it, I had no issues today! For breakfast, I prepared turkey sausage patties with tomatoes on top. For lunch, I ate cabbage soup and grilled chicken with tomatoes seasoned with salt, pepper, and basil. For supper, I added extra tomatoes and turkey breakfast sausage to my wonder soup. Incredibly filling. This day, I grew weary of the soup.
Day 6:
It’s protein and vegetables today. In contrast to yesterday, you can have vegetables other than tomatoes. My breakfast consisted of roasted vegetables and turkey sausage. For lunch, I had a stir-fried chicken and vegetables, and it was delicious. Dinner was ground turkey and spaghetti squash with tomato sauce. I had to have spaghetti squash even though it’s forbidden since it’s starchy! It was the best day! I was feeling over the cabbage today, so I skipped the cabbage soup.
Day 7:
Only fruits, vegetables, and juices are served today. I was craving more meat. It’s the last day, thank God. It was wonderful to see that I’ve lost seven pounds this morning, according to the scale. I feel pure on the inside.
However, I am quite hungry today! For breakfast, I whip up a massive fruit and vegetable smoothie with spinach, apples, oranges, grapes, and water. It was very sweet and delicious! Until lunchtime, it kept me full! I have a big salad, cabbage soup, and a watermelon slushy for lunch. I make another riced cauliflower stir-fry with roasted vegetables for supper. I eat cantaloupe and baked cinnamon apples as snacks.
